(5) Return journey / Sydney

We drove back to Dubbo and then took a 7 hour train journey back.
Along the way, there is a place where countless white fluffs like snow have fallen along the side of the road for several kilometers.
There is a huge organic cotton field nearby, and apparently the item was dropped from a truck transporting cotton there.
Along the way, we pass several places that seem to be water veins, but there is never any water.
Of course, there is the drought in Australia, but it is also true that the water level in the rivers has decreased because large amounts of water have been diverted to cotton fields.
Without making any detours, I just kept driving and arrived at the station.
On the way back, you will change to a train in Dubbo, the town where you disembarked on the way there.
The train journey to Sydney takes approximately 7 hours.
There is a snack and alcohol shop on board.
I dozed off several times, taking in the sights of the cute stations with orange names and the farms, and finally arrived in Sydney.
A reward after the rain.
The cityscape is a stark contrast to Lightning Ridge, with a big city feel.
In Sydney, we purchased emeralds , sapphires, and turquoise mined in Australia.
Australia has a lot of picturesque scenery no matter where you look.
It's been four years since my last visit, but it's been a fruitful journey, with both things that have changed and things that have remained the same.
I will return to Japan next time, hoping to have another wonderful encounter.
